Yes, the Recall/Hold Request Form can be used when an item that you need is checked out by another patron. A "hold" will save the book for you when it's returned. A "recall" goes one step further. A letter is sent to the current borrower notifying them that another person needs the book and that a new, sooner due date has been given.
